Responsible Minerals Sourcing
Our products use a variety of materials, including tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold. We are committed to sourcing materials from companies that share our values regarding human rights and environmental sustainability, and work with the Responsible Minerals Initiative to drive ethical sourcing of minerals.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Reporting
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large and complex group of human-made chemicals used in a variety of products for their unique properties and have been a subject of environmental and health concerns due to their persistence in the environment and potential health risks.
Thermo Fisher is diligently working on identifying PFAS, including those identified by the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Inventory, the EU Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Registry, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Global Database of PFAS.
