Welcome to the Supplier Resources website. The purpose of these webpages is to familiarize all suppliers with the requirements needed to become a strategic partner to Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The foundation of a good relationship with our Suppliers is open, collaborative, and proactive communication. By clearly stating our requirements and expectations of our Suppliers we hope to mutually benefit and build upon our relationship.



Purpose & Scope

The purpose of this site is to provide our strategic suppliers with an explanation of the minimum Quality Management System (QMS) aspects to be embedded in the supplier’s internal processes, and to make known the Performance requirements that can be used for monitoring and improving supplier relationships.

The scope of this Supplier Resource Site is not intended to replace the language contained in any individual agreements, contracts or specifications that may exist within each division, business unit, or site of Thermo Fisher. Each Thermo Fisher site has the authority and responsibility to establish and maintain detailed quality system documentation that focuses on the specific needs and expectations of their customers and regulatory requirements.



Key Roles & Responsibilities

Thermo Fisher

Corporate Global Sourcing develops the strategy which is then implemented by divisional sourcing representatives and executed by Business Unit Sourcing and Procurement teams.

The Procurement groups, along with Quality representatives, are given the primary responsibility for supplier management and are the primary contact for the supplier.


Supplier Organizations

It is expected that each supplier will have a primary contact for the following roles:

Customer Representative or Account Manager who provides communication for deliveries, production changes, costs, quality, etc.

Quality Management Representative who is the primary contact for resolution of quality issues and maintenance of the Suppliers’ Quality Management System.
