Allergy testing: April highlight

From warmer weather and longer daylight hours to budding trees and blooming flowers, April marks the beginning of spring for those in the Northern hemisphere.

For many, this time of year also marks the start of allergy season.

One of the first steps to managing allergies is understanding what triggers cause symptoms like sneezing, itchy, watery eyes and a stuffy nose. This is where Thermo Fisher’s ImmunoCAP™ allergy diagnostics come in, supporting clinicians on the path to accurate diagnoses, appropriate treatments and optimized outcomes for millions of patients with allergies.

For example, our ImmunoCAP™ Specific IgE tests measure sensitivity to a wide selection of whole allergens and allergen components including pollens, weeds, molds, insect venoms and more, giving clinicians a higher level of diagnostic certainty as they work to prepare more comprehensive management plans for their patients.

In addition to traditional testing, clinicians all over the world—from primary care and pediatricians to allergists and other specialists—use ImmunoCAP™ allergy diagnostics to help more patients take actionable steps to mitigate their allergies.

Having the right diagnostic tools means that everyone can enjoy the beauty of changing seasons with fewer symptoms and greater comfort. For additional information on causes, symptoms and testing for seasonal allergies, visit our Allergy Insider site
